M110 SASS Asset
BLENDER 2.8 This was I project I completed during my time at Laser Shot Simulations. Given a completed high-poly asset, I was tasked with recreating the inner-workings of an M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS). The end goal was to produce multiple rendered images that when layered, show different states inside the weapon. One of the bigger challenges I faced during this project was learning a completely new program on the fly. Until this point, I had created in 3D almost exclusively using Maya. Due to the constraints of the project, Maya was not available, and I was tasked with finding an open-source program that could handle the job. This started my journey into Blender. I was able to make a quick transition thanks to the improvements made in the 2.8 beta. I actually really enjoyed using Blender, and have continued to develop my skills in the program.
